Stack Infrastructure withdrew its plan for a data center on the former Continental site in Babenhausen in July 2026. The landowner, Aumovio, cited a long and uncertain planning process and said it would seek another investor for the site.
The project would have covered about 270,000 square meters. A coalition in the city council had asked for more information on renewable power, water use, noise and a financial guarantee before backing the plan.
