What this site is
Global Data Centers (globaldatacenters.net) is an independent reporting and civic action platform. We track proposed hyperscale and AI data center projects across the United States using public records, local news, and community reports. We also sell opposition letters and merchandise.
Everything on this site is informational and educational. We are not attorneys, financial advisors, environmental consultants, or any other licensed professionals. Nothing on this site or in any product we sell is legal, financial, real estate, environmental, or health advice. If you need professional guidance, hire a licensed professional. Any reliance on information from this site is at your own risk.
The opposition letter
For $9 per letter, we research the county commissioners in your area and write a personalized opposition letter based on the information you provide at checkout (your name, address, county, and concerns). We then email that letter to your county commissioners on your behalf, with you copied.
Letters are typically processed within a few business days of purchase. During busy periods, processing may take longer. Every order is fulfilled.
If a commissioner's email address bounces, we will attempt to find a corrected address and resend. If we cannot deliver to any commissioner in your county, we will contact you and issue a refund.
Refunds
Because opposition letters are a digital product customized to your information, all sales are generally final. We will issue a full refund in these situations:
- Your letter was not delivered due to an error on our end and we could not fix it
- The letter contains a substantial factual error that makes it unusable for your situation
- You changed your mind before the letter was sent and it has not yet been emailed to commissioners
To request a refund, email [email protected] with your name and the reason. We will respond within a few business days.
Merchandise
Physical merchandise (shirts, hats, stickers, etc.) is fulfilled and shipped by a third-party print partner. Shipping times, returns, and product quality are handled by that partner. If you have an issue with a merchandise order, email us and we will help resolve it.
Acceptable use
Do not submit false information through any form on this site. Do not use the letter service to send threats, harassment, or anything illegal. Do not scrape, bot, or otherwise abuse the site. Do not resell or commercially redistribute opposition letters.
Sharing your letter with neighbors, your HOA, or local advocates to coordinate on a specific issue is fine and encouraged.
Accuracy
We work to keep project information accurate and up to date, but data center proposals move fast. Statuses, vote counts, commissioner names, and other details may change between our last update and when you read them. Each project entry shows its sources and the date it was last verified. If you spot an error, report it through our contact page and we will correct it.
No warranties
The site and everything on it are provided as-is. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available, that every piece of information is perfectly current, or that an opposition letter will produce any specific outcome at a hearing, in a regulatory proceeding, or in a property transaction. We built this to help, but results depend on local politics, timing, and a lot of factors outside our control.
Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Global Data Centers and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or any product. Our total liability for any claim related to an opposition letter is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Changes
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change is posted means you accept the updated terms.
