OADC, part of the West Indian Ocean Cable Company (WIOCC), is building a 24 megawatt data center expansion in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria, at a cost of $240 million. The Tier III expansion is under construction as twin 12 megawatt stages; chief executive Ayotunde Coker said in March 2025 that piling had begun on the second stage and the work was expected to take about 18 months.

The four-hectare Lekki campus, known as OADC Lagos LOS1, is where Google's Equiano subsea cable lands in Nigeria. Power comes through a dedicated transmission line into the facility, with a second line from Ajah in Lekki for backup, and the project is funded with equity and debt, including the International Finance Corporation and Proparco. "While on-site solar generation is limited due to space constraints, OADC is evaluating power wheeling options to source hydroelectric and solar power from external locations," Coker said.

OADC operates six hyperscale data centers and more than 30 edge sites in South Africa, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria. In December 2025 ThisDay reported that the twin 12 megawatt Tier III facility was expected to be completed in 2026.
