CyrusOne is building its FRA6 data center at Wilhelm-Fay-Strasse 31-37 in the Sossenheim district of Frankfurt, Germany, next to its operating FRA1 through FRA4 sites. The company plans 90 megawatts of power across eight data halls and four floors, backed by two power feeds totaling 108 megavolt-amps.

CyrusOne bought the 27,500-square-meter Europark site in December 2022, then describing FRA6 as a 72-megawatt data center, the German trade site connect professional reported in July 2023. The site lies in an area Frankfurt's city data center plan designates as suitable for the use, which CyrusOne said gives it planning certainty.

CyrusOne is aiming for a BREEAM Excellent sustainability rating, a widely used green-building certification, a closed-loop water cooling system, and an efficiency target below 1.3, meaning the site would use less than 1.3 units of total power for every unit that reaches its computers.

Next door, CyrusOne's FRA3 building offers 22 megawatts of power in two attached towers, connected to the high-voltage grid through its own substations and cooled with outside air rather than water.
