Data centers in Crisp County, Georgia: 1 project mapped

Outside Cordele, a developer filing as Red Wolf DCD Properties, also recorded on county documents as Premier Data Center Development, has permission to build what it calls a technology campus next to an existing industrial park. Project Splice would be seven buildings of 300,000 square feet each, valued at $6 billion and built in three phases through 2033. Commissioners unanimously rezoned 583.62 acres off Cemetery Road and Ninth Avenue on June 10, 2025.

The project's consultant, Andy Camp of Thomas and Hutton, promised 180 to 200 jobs averaging about $80,000 a year and said the developer would cover all utility upgrades. Residents raised noise, traffic and water concerns at a May 2025 hearing; the county's own findings estimated water use at 0.3 million gallons a day. The rezoning came with conditions, including a 325-foot setback for phase one and construction limited to 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Cordele's city commission was scheduled to hold a hearing on September 17, 2026, on an ordinance to regulate data centers within city limits; no result has been published. That ordinance would not reach Project Splice, which sits in unincorporated Crisp County.
