Amazon Web Services runs three two-story data centers on a 7.72 hectare site off Greenhills Road in Tallaght, County Dublin, Ireland, and has been operating there since 2014. The closest homes, in Tymon North Green and Tymon North Lawn, sit about 50 meters from the site boundary, according to Amazon's 2022 filing with the Environmental Protection Agency.

The campus runs 50 diesel backup generators and fire pumps, meant only for power cuts or testing and expected to run under 500 hours a year. Amazon's air modeling found the generators would keep nitrogen dioxide within air quality limits, and the data halls are cooled mostly with outside air.

The site uses about 23,912 cubic meters of water a year, and rainwater drains through six outfalls into the Tymon River, which the Environmental Protection Agency rates as poor ecological quality, on its way to the Poddle and the Liffey. In July 2026 Amazon applied to build a new security building and gatehouse at the site's entrance, with a vehicle checkpoint and new perimeter fencing.

Ireland's energy regulator froze new data center grid connections in the Dublin area from 2021 until December 12, 2025, when it lifted the freeze on condition that new sites cover their own peak demand and get at least 80 percent of their power from new renewable projects. No further expansion at this site has been reported since the July 2026 filing.
