Big Digital Energy runs a data center in Midland, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, built by its predecessor Mawson Infrastructure Group beside Allegheny Technologies' idled steel melt shop. Mawson renamed itself Big Digital Energy in April 2026, and a March 2023 lease amendment brought the site to 120 megawatts of power.

Mawson leased 6 acres on the west side of the idled ATI melt shop in September 2021, paying $1.2 million a year with renewal options for up to 15 years. "It's 100% nuclear powered; we don't want to put any emissions into the air," said chief operating officer Liam Wilson, who signed a five-year power purchase agreement with Energy Harbor, then owner of the nearby Beaver Valley nuclear plant. The company planned to offer its power to the PJM grid as a balancing resource, and Wilson said Big Digital chose Midland for the power nearby, the cool climate and the borough's welcome.

In May 2026 Big Digital signed a deal with an affiliate of the Endeavor Group to run about 25,000 mining computers on roughly 75 megawatts across its sites, ending a legal dispute that began in January when Mawson sued Endeavor Blockchain in Delaware federal court over a change-of-control plan it alleged. By April the two sides had agreed on a reconstituted board, with Endeavor's Joshua Kilgore as executive chairman and Phil Stanley as chief executive. Big Digital's latest annual filing put its total data center capacity across all sites at about 129 megawatts, with 24 more under development.
