CoreWeave Plano data center, Plano, Texas

CoreWeave's first Texas data center is a converted corporate campus at 1000 Coit Road in Plano, Collin County, once the North American headquarters of the French telecom company Alcatel. The $1.6 billion, 454,421-square-foot facility on a 23.8-acre site became operational at the end of 2023 inside Lincoln Property Company's Lincoln Rackhouse building.

The campus passed from Alcatel to Westmount Realty Capital in 2004, then to Countrywide Financial, which Bank of America took over in the 2008 financial crash before selling the site during a data center consolidation. CoreWeave signed a six-year agreement with Lincoln for up to 30 megawatts of computing power, worth more than $260 million, with two two-year renewal options. The site holds four 14,000-square-foot data halls and 50,000 square feet of shell space for later expansion.

The Plano City Council voted unanimously on July 24, 2023 to approve a tax rebate agreement requiring CoreWeave to invest at least $800 million a year for two years; half of the $1.6 billion minimum spent on improvements is to be returned to the company in 2025 and 2026. Mayor John B. Muns said the city was "thrilled to partner with CoreWeave as the company invests in its first data center in Texas." CoreWeave chief executive Michael Intrator said the company was pleased to partner with Plano and would "create new jobs."
