Digital Realty PAR8 data center, Île-de-France, France

PAR8 is a Digital Realty data center at 2 Avenue Marcel Cachin in La Courneuve, near Paris, France, and one of four connected data centers on the company's Paris Digital Park campus. It was announced in April 2020 by Interxion, a Digital Realty company, as a three-phase building with 9,600 square meters of equipped space and 19MW of power available to customers, the French trade site DCmag reported.

Interxion said the whole campus would hold four data centers, about 40,000 square meters of equipped space and up to 85MW of customer power. It put the investment in PAR8 at about 207 million euros, not counting land and other shared site costs, and planned to open the first phase of about 3,200 square meters at the end of 2021. Interxion said the campus would draw on the network connections of its seven existing interconnected Paris data centers, including the nearby PAR7.

Construction ran slightly late. In February 2022 the Irish general contractor Mercury said it had completed the first two phases of PAR8, after delays that DCmag put down to Covid and to a foreign contractor adapting to French practices and rules, and customers were already in the first two floors. A lightning protection contractor that worked on the building describes PAR8 as the flagship of the park with 76MW of IT power, a figure close to the 85MW Interxion gave for the whole campus rather than the 19MW it gave for PAR8.

The later buildings, PAR9, PAR10 and PAR11, have opened in stages, and Digital Realty has dropped the Interxion brand since buying the Dutch company, Le Monde Informatique reported in May 2023. Digital Realty France chief executive Fabrice Coquio said about 20 percent of PAR10's 10,000 square meters had been fitted with a liquid cooling loop for high-performance computing, adding 8 to 9 percent to the building's construction cost.

Digital Realty is now building a second large campus north of Paris. Work began in December 2025 on PAR15 at the Dugny Digital Hub, on a former French Air Force site, the first of three buildings there planned to total 176MW of IT capacity, DCD reported in May 2026. Digital Realty operates around a dozen other data centers across Paris.
