Logistix Property Group's plan for a data center on 29 acres of city-owned land at 1380 University Boulevard in Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio, is suspended. On January 15, 2026, the developer asked the city to pause a feasibility study into supplying 240 megawatts of power to the site, after an earlier study found it would take at least 24 months to deliver just 45 megawatts. Hamilton City Council has not voted on the project, which still needs city and state approval.

City Manager Craig Bucheit said the new impact study showed "it's going to take a significant amount of time, money and infrastructure to meet the project needs that have been set out." Logistix said in a statement that it was "evaluating the information and that no decision has been made with respect to the project." Hamilton resident Jay Kidd urged the city to drop the project: "We can just not build it at all. We are not willing to sacrifice our children for economic growth."

The city entered a development agreement with Logistix for the 29-acre site, and the project would be paid for by the developer, which would become a customer of Hamilton's own electric utility. More than 600 people have joined a Facebook group called the Coalition Against Data Centers in South Ohio, circulating petitions and turning out at city council meetings to demand the city scrap the project.
