Serverfarm Data Center (CTX 1, CTX 2), Houston, Texas

Serverfarm's data center campus at 15555 Cutten Road in Houston, in Harris County, Texas, called HOU2, is a two-building campus near the former Compaq and HP headquarters in Cypress Creek. Manulife-owned Serverfarm bought the site, built and occupied by HP and later DXC, in 2024, and topped out its second building, the 60 megawatt CTX2, in February 2026.

At full build-out the campus spans almost 500,000 square feet with secured customer capacity to scale to 100 megawatts using available grid power, Data Center Dynamics reported. CTX2 was registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation as a $137 million project, with construction listed from July 11, 2025 to July 10, 2026; no announcement has said whether it opened by then.

Serverfarm's contractor, Clune Construction, describes CTX2 as a two-story building with six 12 megawatt data vaults and seventy air-cooled chillers on a screened rooftop, with each power group built around a 3,300 kilowatt generator.

Noise, construction hours, zoning and traffic around the site are handled locally rather than by the state, since the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality says noise and light generally fall outside its permitting authority, KPRC 2 reported in September 2026. Residents inside Houston can report problems through 311; those outside the city limits go through their county government.
