Telxius, a Telefonica company, runs a data center cable landing station at 1900 Corporate Landing Parkway in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where the BRUSA, Dunant and MAREA transatlantic subsea cables come ashore. The station connects to the neighboring Globalinx data center campus through a meet-me room, and local officials have pitched Corporate Landing Business Park as the first international cable landing location in the Mid-Atlantic.

Globalinx began work in January 2025 to add room for four more subsea cables at its own campus, including the Confluence-1 line that was expected to join the station in 2026; no update on Confluence-1's landing has been published since. In August 2026 the Virginia Beach City Council voted unanimously for a 12-month pause on new data center permits; officials said the pause is meant to protect businesses tied to the cable landing industry and is not expected to affect existing businesses.
