US Signal data centers: 4 sites mapped

US Signal, a Grand Rapids, Michigan, company that provides network and data center services, runs four sites tracked here: one each in Michigan, Iowa and Illinois, plus its second Indianapolis facility at 6325 Morenci Trail, a 9,600-square-foot, 2-megawatt building bought from local operator Rack Bunker in December 2023.

Its owner, Igneo Infrastructure Partners, is funding a $200 million program adding 3 megawatts at the company's Belleville, Michigan, data center and 6 megawatts at its IA01 data center in Waukee, Iowa, plus more than 1,000 miles of new fiber. In February 2026 US Signal also bought a 70,000-square-foot Aurora, Illinois, building built for CNA Insurance, with plans to expand its capacity to 4 megawatts.

US Signal also operates smaller sites in Kentwood, Byron Center, Auburn Hills and Southfield, Michigan, none of them tracked here yet. In August 2026 the Indianapolis City-County Council voted 23-1 for a moratorium on new data centers through the end of 2027; it pauses new construction, not existing buildings like the Morenci Trail site.
