Negeri Sembilan has two large data center campuses under way and a third under discussion. At Springhill Industrial Park in Port Dickson, Gamuda bought 389 acres of farmland and has agreed to sell it to Pearl Computing, a Google affiliate, for RM455.2 million, while doing the earthworks and building a water treatment plant for the site. Near Seremban, Vena Nexus broke ground in January 2026 on the Nexus Yang campus at NS Semiconductor Valley, planned for about 350 megawatts of power and due for completion in early 2027.
Water is the state's condition for these projects. Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun told the state assembly in April 2025 that the state would assess new proposals carefully because data centers use so much water. Gamuda's treatment plant at Springhill will produce 65 million liters a day, with a quarter reserved for local households and the plant owned by the state. Analysts estimated the Springhill land could hold 700 to 1,000 megawatts; Google has not said how large its data centers there will be.
Two smaller plans are also on record. Aminuddin said US investors are developing a green data center in Nilai. The Malaysian developer Tanco signed a nonbinding agreement with China Mobile International to consider a 50-megawatt data center in Port Dickson, DCD reported.
