Panattoni Development and Ferreira Construction want to build Project Silver Fox, a data center campus using up to 1,000 megawatts of power, on 606 acres at 13820 Silver Fox Road in Indiantown. The land is already zoned industrial, so the next step is the village's site plan review; once approved, the companies plan to sell the project to Crux AI, a venture of Google and the investment firm Blackstone. The Indiantown Village Council is expected to take the first of two votes on a one-year data center moratorium in October; Kramer said his company would fight one.
The applicant in village records is Silver Fox 606, a company whose only listed manager is Nelson Ferreira, owner of a Juno Beach construction business. At an open house on September 21, 2026, Panattoni's Adam Kramer said only about 34% of the site would be built on, cooling would use a closed loop needing little water, and the campus would bring $44 million a year in utility franchise taxes. "We're very confident this is going to happen because we chose a site that is by right to build a data center here," he told CBS12.

"I still hate the idea," said Carroll McAllister, who keeps cattle within three-quarters of a mile of the site. "It's the noise. It's the water. It's the light." On September 1 the council voted 4-1 against the pause residents asked for, saying it wanted new lawyers to write one that would hold up in court, then fired Village Manager Taryn Kryzda and named Michael Giardino, fired days earlier as Stuart's city manager, as interim manager. Residents' own map shows other proposals in the village, including ones called Project Growler and Project Beskar.
On August 25, 2026, Martin County commissioners voted, with Commissioner Stacey Hetherington opposed, to have staff bring back a one-year moratorium for unincorporated Martin County. "Before this thing gets sideways, I'm interested in a pause," Commissioner Edward Ciampi said. The moratorium would likely need two public hearings, and no date has been set for them.
