Data centers in St. Lucie County, Florida: 1 project mapped

The one large data center proposed in St. Lucie County, Sentinel Grove Technology Park, also called Project Jarvis, has been withdrawn. It would have covered 1,218 acres of former citrus grove on the east side of Minute Maid Road, north of Orange Avenue (State Road 68) outside Fort Pierce, with up to 15 million square feet of buildings and a first phase of 1,000 megawatts of power.

The county's Planning and Zoning Commission voted 4-2 on October 16, 2025 to recommend against the land-use change it needed. "That's the last agricultural area we have left in St. Lucie County, please don't destroy it," resident Cynthia Adams told the board. Peter Harrison, who owns an 18-acre homestead on Orange Avenue, said, "The numbers are just off the chart." Timberline Real Estate Partners, which filed the request with HJA Design Studios, said it had no tenant.

In February 2026, County Commissioner Cathy Townsend said the applicant had pulled out to wait and see what Florida's data center bill, then before the Legislature, would require. The land is owned by Epic Estates 68 LLC, a Tallahassee firm that bought it for $15 million in July 2024. To revive the plan, the developer would have to submit it to county staff again and ask to bring it to the County Commission.
