atNorth, the Nordic data center operator owned by CPP Investments and Equinix, is planning a data center campus called DEN02 in Varde, Denmark, about 40 kilometers west of Billund Airport. The 171-hectare site is atNorth's second Danish campus and is planned to open with 250 megawatts of power, scalable to several hundred more.
atNorth says DEN02 will reuse excess heat from the site to warm greenhouses and local housing, and will support direct liquid cooling for high-performance computing and AI workloads.
