Huntley LLC is evaluating a data center on roughly 500 acres of city-owned land southwest of Page near Highway 98, about two miles from Horseshoe Bend. Page approved a $7 million land-sale agreement in October 2025, but has not approved a final site, zoning, construction, utilities or water supply. The proposal has been described as a potential 1,000-megawatt campus; that is planned capacity, not power in use.

Page residents filed a referendum petition with 405 hand-signed signatures after the land-sale vote. The city rejected it in December 2025 over defects in the signature sheets, so the ordinance did not go to a ballot. The neighboring LeChee Chapter of the Navajo Nation voted in February 2026 to oppose the sale, citing concern about water and the lack of consultation.

Page says it has committed neither municipal water nor power to the project; Huntley must secure lawful supplies itself. The developer had described closed-loop cooling in 2025, but the city's current FAQ says no cooling method has been submitted or approved. The sale cannot close until zoning issues are resolved, and the agreement lets the city repurchase the land if the developer misses construction milestones.

The next public meeting is a September 29, 2026, work session on proposed data-center zoning rules at City Hall, 697 Vista Avenue, at 5:30 p.m. The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing October 6 at 5:30 p.m., followed by City Council on October 28 at the same time and place. Any site-specific rezoning would require separate hearings afterward.
