PowerBridge/LandBridge data center, Between Odessa and Pecos, Texas

LandBridge gave PowerBridge the option to lease up to about 3,400 acres in Reeves County for its proposed Alpha Digital Campus, near the Waha natural gas hub. Their April 2, 2026, agreement allows PowerBridge to pursue site approvals and a long-term lease; it does not by itself establish a built data center or a signed customer. The companies described up to 2 gigawatts of initial power generation beside the campus, a planned supply figure rather than data-center power already in use.

PowerBridge says it has filed an interconnection request for the generation facilities, supplied the associated data-center load details and ordered equipment for the power infrastructure. Its plan is to serve the campus through a private electrical network connecting the generation to future data halls. The companies forecast first power in 2027 and larger-scale generation in 2028, subject to regulatory work and commercial agreements.

PowerBridge's wider development model includes mostly gas-fired power plants and possible reuse of water from oil and gas production. The Alpha Digital announcement, however, gives no site-specific water source or volume, fuel consumption, cooling plan or data-center customer. That announcement identifies Reeves County and proximity to Waha, but not the particular tract within LandBridge's holdings.
