Yotta's Navi Mumbai data center park sits in the 600-acre Hiranandani Fortune City area of Panvel, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, where Yotta, a Hiranandani Group company, opened its first building, NM1, in July 2020. NM1 holds about 7,000 server racks and runs on 52 megawatts of power, and Yotta says it is India's only Tier IV data center open to multiple tenants, the industry's highest reliability rating.

Yotta has since turned NM1 into a computing site for artificial intelligence: it runs 1,024 Nvidia L40 and 8,192 Nvidia H100 chips there for its Shakti Cloud service, Data Centre Magazine reported in June 2026. The company's next Navi Mumbai building, the planned 75-megawatt NM2, is meant to add 36,000 newer chips on a campus Yotta says can scale to 2 gigawatts of power, and the company plans more than 80,000 chips across its sites by fiscal 2027-28.

Frost & Sullivan named Yotta its 2026 Indian Company of the Year in AI infrastructure in June 2026. "This honour belongs to our customers, partners, and teams who share our vision of positioning India among the world's leading AI and digital infrastructure hubs," said Sunil Gupta, Yotta's co-founder and chief executive.

The Mumbai region's data center boom is drawing state rules. In September 2026 the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board said it was drafting a state data center policy with IIT Bombay that would set buffer zones from homes and require recycled or treated wastewater for cooling, after residents in Thane protested an Amazon data center.

The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation is also planning pipelines of treated sewage and desalinated seawater for four data center clusters in the Mumbai region, including TTC Navi Mumbai and Taloja, according to documents reported by CarbonCopy. How NM2 is cooled and powered will fall under whatever rules the pollution board finalizes, which it expects within a few months.
