Iron Mountain plans a data center campus of more than 200 megawatts at White Oak Technology Park in Sandston, Henrico County, on a 66-acre site. The first building, RCH-1, will be 364,860 square feet and 48 megawatts, with the first 18 megawatts of power due in 2027. Two more buildings, RCH-2 and RCH-3, are planned for the same campus, which is expected to grow past 1 million square feet in total.
Iron Mountain says the campus will run on power matched by 100 percent renewable sources, with buildings delivered in phases from 2027 through 2030. The company markets the Henrico County site as a lower-cost alternative to the crowded Northern Virginia data center corridor nearby.
