EdgeCore data centers: 4 sites mapped

EdgeCore is a Denver-based wholesale data center developer, launched in 2018 and bought by the private equity firm Partners Group in 2022, that builds campuses for single large tenants. In Culpeper, Virginia, it announced in July 2024 that it had bought 120 acres in the Culpeper Technology Zone for a 1.4 million-square-foot campus.

DatacenterDynamics reported the campus would start at 216 megawatts of IT load and could reach 432 megawatts, with first power from Rappahannock Electric Cooperative expected in early 2028; EdgeCore's own campus page now gives an initial phase of 196 megawatts in two buildings totaling 920,000 square feet. By April 2026, Virginia Business reported, construction had begun.

In Mesa, Arizona, DCD reported in May 2025 that EdgeCore was adding 43.87 acres to its existing 40-acre campus, raising capacity from more than 200 megawatts to more than 450 megawatts, with power from Salt River Project; the campus is operating and expanding. Its Santa Clara, California campus is operating at 72 megawatts, and a campus near Reno, Nevada, in McCarran, is under construction.
