Coloblox SMY1 Data Center, Atlanta, Georgia

Coloblox Data Centers, an Atlanta colocation company that has rented server space since 1998, runs its SMY1 facility at 1100 Circle 75 Parkway in Atlanta, Cobb County, one of two Atlanta sites the company calls ATL1 and ATL2. Coloblox does not publish SMY1's size or power draw; customers rent shared rack space or private cabinets and can have new equipment running within 72 hours. The site connects to several network carriers, including AT&T, Verizon and Hurricane Electric, and Coloblox says customers can bring their own network provider in directly rather than being locked to one carrier.

Cobb County is not accepting new data center applications for now: the county board extended a moratorium on new permits by 180 days in August 2026, pushing the freeze to at least early February 2027. The moratorium, first adopted in February 2026, does not affect facilities already running like SMY1, and it was extended as the Marietta City Council weighed a separate data center proposal off Delk Road.
