Rocky Creek Road Data Center Campus, Hampton, Georgia

Red Wolf DCD Properties wants to build a 1.2 million square foot data center with an on-site electrical substation on 148.2 acres at the southeast corner of Georgia Highway 20 West and Rocky Creek Road, outside Hampton in Henry County, Georgia. The applicant of record, 0 Rocky Creek Road LLC of Wilmington, Delaware, asked the county to rezone the land from residential agricultural to office institutional and to change its comprehensive plan; the end user has not been named.

Red Wolf is also behind a second data center proposal off Simpson Mill Road nearby, and county planners recommended approval of Rocky Creek with a 60 foot buffer after a state Development of Regional Impact review. Accounts of the zoning advisory board's November 14, 2024 vote conflict: the Henry Reporter said it recommended approval of Rocky Creek and denial of Simpson Mill, while WSB-TV reported the opposite and added that the county commission has the final say.

Henry County commissioners pulled both requests from their November 19, 2024 agenda and put them off into 2025. As of March 2025, when Hampton approved a separate 133 acre data center campus in the Henderson Farms development, the Rocky Creek and Simpson Mill requests were still awaiting a commission hearing that had not been scheduled.
