YTL Power and JLand Group proposed a new data center campus at Sedenak Tech Park West in Johor, Malaysia. YTL's SIPP Power unit planned to acquire about 145 acres there, with an option for another 400 acres. The companies described the proposed campus as gigawatt scale.
The site is within Ibrahim Technopolis, where JLand is developing the technology park. The companies said the option could bring the campus to about 545 acres. They expect the project to support jobs in construction, engineering, technology and data center operations.
