Data centers in Tulsa County, Oklahoma: 5 projects mapped

Tulsa County has two huge data center campuses under construction and a citywide pause on new ones. In east Tulsa, Meta revealed on April 21, 2026 that it was behind Project Anthem, a $1 billion, 340-acre data center between 11th Street and the Creek Turnpike due for completion in 2028. The city gave it an 85 percent property tax exemption through a 25-year incentive district; the remaining 15 percent is expected to raise $36 million, and Meta will pay $25 million for public infrastructure.

City staff had recommended denying the zoning, and protesters met the announcement. "Meta profits billions off destruction of our community," read a sign carried by Cheyenna Morgan of Stop Data Colonialism. Local councilor Christian Bengel, who had signed a non-disclosure agreement with Meta, was accused of "selling them out." North of the city near Owasso, Beale Infrastructure is building Project Clydesdale on 506 acres for Google, paying for a new substation and 1.5 miles of new water lines; neighbors have raised concerns about water, power, noise and property values.

In March 2026 the Tulsa City Council voted unanimously for a nine-month pause on new data center permits, cut down from the year first proposed by Councilor Laura Bellis. Anthem and Clydesdale were approved earlier and are exempt. The county's map also lists two long-operating facilities run by Hewlett-Packard/Sabre and TierPoint, an operating Compass Datacenters site, and a Google campus approved in nearby Sand Springs.
